NORFOLK, Va., Dec. 18, 2014—Paramount Sleep has entered into a joint venture with British bedding manufacturer Hypnos. Paramount Sleep is the only licensee for Hypnos in the U.S. and is the first to manufacture the company’s products according to British standards.
Paramount will debut 10 Hypnos models during Las Vegas Market at an exclusive, private viewing held at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. The purpose of the debut is to gain valuable retailer insights and feedback on the new Hypnos program. A formal launch of the product line will take place in the spring.
“We are honored to be entrusted with Hypnos’ international reputation as true luxury bedding experts in making handcrafted deep pocket spring beds,” said Richard Fleck, president of Paramount Sleep. “We are obligated to protect the Hypnos brand architecture set forth in Europe as we manufacture bespoke mattresses here in the United States.”
Hypnos is a fourth generation family-run bedding manufacturer with more than 100 years of experience.
The company holds a Royal Warrant for HM Queen Elizabeth II for bedding and upholstery manufacturers and is the only luxury bed maker to actively supply the Royal family, Royal Household and the Royal residences. Joining Paramount Sleep as Hypnos brand manager is Jackie Fair. Fair comes to Paramount from adidas America, Inc., where she most recently served as senior operations manager, overseeing new store openings and store operations. As Hypnos brand manager she works closely with Hypnos U.K., focusing on domestic merchandising and marketing, to manage the Hypnos brand in the U.S. marketplace.
“We conducted an extensive and lengthy search to find the perfect candidate. Jackie’s operations expertise and retail merchandising experience give her the right skills to successfully introduce the Hypnos brand to the U.S. market,” said Fleck.
